Running the DCPROMO Wizard by Using an Answer File
Before running the DCPROMO wizard, it's a good idea to see some of the switches that can be used with the DCPROMO wizard.
Simply typing dcpromo as the command will show the parameters that need to be used to run the DCPROMO wizard.
An answer file can be used to set the parameters that will be used during the running of the wizard. These parameters can
also be manually entered on the command line.

Below is a template that can be used to create an answer file for the DCPROMO wizard. Once completed, save it somewhere
(on a USB drive, on a CD, external HDD, somewhere on the server core itself, etc.). Notepad is available on Windows Server
2008 Core by using the notepad.exe command. The answer file can be created by using Notepad and then saved somewhere
on the server. Once the answer file has been created
and saved, run the following command which will run the DCPROMO wizard using the answer file that you provided:
dcpromo /answer:[path to the answer file].
